The Shay XC was named after former All-American and US National Champion Ryan Shay, a Saucony sponsored athlete who tragically passed away while competing at the 2008 US Olympic Marathon Trials.
Weighing 6.9 oz, the Shay XC features a SSL EVA midsole, air mesh upper, integrated tongue, ortholite timicrobial and anti-oder insert over a six pin spike plate. The integrated tongue helps to provide a snug fit in the mid and forefoot and the recessed spike wells allow the spike to be worn without pins for courses involving significant portions of asphalt.
