Saucony's premier cushioning shoe for the neutral runner. It has the ultimate blend of cushioning and a responsive ride, with an excellent transition from heels strike to toe-off.
Fit Notes: With Saucony’s seventh version of this popular shoe, it has stepped it up with a good fit improvement and an extra width. Cleaning up the fit of the midfoot and heel, they specifically addressed the “baggy” fitting upper from the Triumph 6. It has a nice form fitting wrap around the ankle, heel, and arch. The mens and womens version both come in a WIDE width now to compete with Asics’ Nimbus series shoes. Addressing the lack of stability in the shoe, they’ve added the FLEXION plate which originally first appeared in the Progrid Paramount, Saucony’s Supershoe, which retailed for $165. This plastic plate runs the entire width of the footbed and up to the midfoot to create a smooth, firm, and stable ride.
The price of this shoe has increased with all it’s new updates. Jumping up $10, it now retails for $130.
